About Barlieb & Associates  

You have more important things to do with your time than pull permits or review electrical diagrams. When you work with a design/build firm like Barlieb & Associates, we do all the heavy lifting, planning and managing, and keep you informed along the way.

Our dynamic team is lead by Kurt Barlieb & Shannon Gilligan-Barlieb.

Kurt Barlieb
Kurt is an experienced building and construction manager. Highly skilled in team building and relationship building, he has strong organizational skills and a unique understanding of how both sides of the building business work, developed during his more than 18 years in the industry. Kurt successfully managed accounts for various new home builders in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, completing, on average over 400 homes annually. 

What you need him to do, he’s already done: manage construction projects, work with architects through design and construction, prepare material lists and cost-estimates, and perform on-site inspections. 

Kurt has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Shannon Gilligan-Barlieb
With over 15 years in the homebuilding and commercial building industries, Shannon has extensive knowledge of the building process.

A fixture at her father’s home building company — Gilligan Homes — she learned firsthand the construction process, the aspects of supply management and product design. Her last role at Gilligan Homes was as Vice President of Operations, before starting Barlieb & Associates with Kurt.
